UK has skilled informaticians - just not in healthcare

Just came across an interesting bullet-point in the MRC eHealth Records report:

"Many skills (data analysis, data-intensive statistics, data management, simulation, modelling and collaboration) are used by a wide range of of governmental institutions and commerce alike. This means that there are many individuals that have the ability to work in e-health records research/e-science but there is competition to attract the best skills. Consequently, a number of skill sets appear to be in short supply in the health arena...."
